Working Principle

The Non-Magnetic Drill Collar is installed within the Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA), usually directly above the drilling bit and around MWD/LWD tools.

During drilling:

Its non-magnetic alloy creates a magnetic-neutral zone around sensitive electronic survey instruments.
