Main Components
1. Scraper Bowl
The bowl collects and carries excavated material. Its capacity determines the quantity of material that can be transported per cycle.
2. Cutting Edge
A hardened, replaceable cutting edge penetrates and cuts the ground during excavation.
3. Apron
The hydraulic apron controls the opening of the bowl during cutting, loading and unloading.
4. Ejector
The hydraulic ejector pushes material from the bowl during discharge, allowing controlled and efficient unloading.
5. Hydraulic System
Provides power for the bowl, apron, ejector, steering and other operating functions.
6. Tractor / Prime Mover
For towed scraper configurations, the scraper is pulled by a suitable tractor or heavy-duty earthmoving machine.
