Shale Shaker

A Shale Shaker is a primary solids-control device used in drilling-fluid processing systems to separate drilled cuttings and other unwanted solid particles from circulating drilling mud.

The shaker uses vibrating screen decks to process drilling fluid as it enters the unit. The liquid phase passes through the screen openings for further treatment, while larger drilled solids are conveyed across the screen and discharged.

The unit shown is a heavy-duty industrial shale shaker configuration, featuring multiple screen decks, vibration/exciter motors, springs, feed manifolds and a skid-mounted frame.
