Orifice Valve
An Orifice Valve is a precision flow-control device used in oil and gas production, well testing, process plants, and pipeline systems to regulate, restrict, or measure the flow of liquids and gases. It incorporates a calibrated orifice that creates a controlled pressure drop, enabling accurate flow measurement and process control while maintaining system integrity.
Orifice valves are widely used in high-pressure and high-temperature (HPHT) environments and are designed for reliable operation in both onshore and offshore applications.
Applications
Oil and gas production facilities
Well testing operations
Pipeline flow measurement
Production manifolds
Chemical injection systems
Gas processing plants
Refineries
Petrochemical plants
Offshore platforms
Water injection systems
Flow control skids

Working Principle
An Orifice Valve controls fluid flow by forcing the fluid through a precisely machined orifice.
Process fluid enters the valve body.
The fluid passes through the calibrated orifice.
A pressure drop is created across the orifice.
The pressure differential can be used to regulate or calculate the flow rate.
The controlled fluid continues downstream while maintaining stable operating conditions.
This design provides accurate flow restriction and dependable process control in high-pressure systems.
