Working Principle

The perforating gun is assembled with shaped charges and lowered into the well using wireline, slickline, electric line, or tubing.

The gun is positioned at the target reservoir interval.

The firing system is activated.

The shaped charges detonate sequentially.

High-velocity jets penetrate the casing, cement sheath, and formation.

Flow channels are created, allowing hydrocarbons or injected fluids to move between the reservoir and the wellbore.

The gun is retrieved or disposed of, depending on the gun type and operational program.
