Working Principle

The retrievable packer is run into the well on tubing or work string and positioned at the desired depth.

The packer is activated mechanically or hydraulically.

Slips expand outward to grip the casing wall securely.

Elastomer sealing elements compress to create a pressure-tight seal between the tubing and casing.

The seal isolates selected zones, allowing production, injection, testing, or stimulation operations.

When operations are complete, the release mechanism disengages the slips and seal elements, allowing the packer to be retrieved and reused.
